Terms of Use

Effective May 27, 2026

Welcome to SoberLife. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Jurney LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“SoberLife,” “we,” “us”), governing your use of the SoberLife website at soberlife.club and the SoberLife mobile app (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, opening the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. Not medical advice

SoberLife is a community and meeting-finder service. It is not a treatment program, not a substitute for medical care, therapy, a sponsor, or any professional service, and it is not designed to handle emergencies.

If you are in crisis right now:

  • 988— Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text, 24/7, United States)
  • 1-800-662-4357— SAMHSA National Helpline (free, confidential, 24/7)
  • 911— for immediate danger to yourself or someone else

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SoberLife. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use SoberLife only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
  • One account per person. Don’t share, sell, or transfer your account.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, and you must tell us right away if you believe it has been compromised.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Delete Account, or by emailing support@soberlife.club.

4. The Twelfth Tradition and anonymity

SoberLife is built on the spirit of the Twelfth Tradition: principles before personalities. When you use the Service, you agree that you will not:

  • Identify, photograph, record, or out other members of any fellowship, online or in person
  • Reveal the identity, sobriety status, or attendance of any other person, on social media or anywhere else, without their explicit consent
  • Use information you learn through the Service to harm, harass, stalk, shame, or pressure anyone

Violating anonymity is the fastest way to be removed from SoberLife permanently.

5. Acceptable use

You also agree not to:

  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any group
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone
  • Post or transmit unlawful, deceptive, hateful, sexually explicit, or self-harm content
  • Use the Service to advertise, solicit, sell treatment, or recruit
  • Scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data from the Service, except as expressly allowed by law
  • Interfere with the Service, attempt to bypass security, or upload malware
  • Use the Service to violate any law or any third party’s rights

6. Meetings and third-party content

The meetings listed in SoberLife are organized by independent fellowships (Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, and others). We surface information about those meetings from public sources; we don’t run them, control them, or endorse the views expressed in them. Your participation is at your own discretion and risk. Times, links, and locations change — if you see something out of date, please let us know.

Links and resources we surface to third-party websites or apps (Zoom, map providers, treatment directories) are subject to those parties’ own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

7. Intellectual property

The SoberLife name, logo, gold coin mark, original written content, illustrations, and software are owned by Jurney LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own recovery. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our content except as permitted by law.

Anything you submit through the Service (for example, a username, a sobriety milestone, feedback) remains yours. By submitting it you give us a limited license to host, display, and use it to operate the Service. We will never publish identifying information about you without your explicit consent.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that meeting information is accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that any defect will be corrected. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JURNEY LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jurney LLC from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Collier County, Florida, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
